JetBrains has announced that the JetBrains Teacher Pack for Bootcamps will be sunset as part of a shift in its education offerings.
Prospective bootcamps can submit a final application by September 30, 2026, 11:59 pm CET.
Starting October 1, 2026, JetBrains will no longer accept new bootcamp applications.
The bootcamp program is scheduled to be fully retired on April 1, 2027.
TIMELINE, LICENSES, AND COUPONS
Bootcamps planning to run a program can submit one final application by September 30, 2026, 11:59 pm CET. TechStaged has also covered CPython officially adds RISC-V support as a tier-3 platform.
Starting October 1, 2026, JetBrains will not accept new bootcamp applications.
Instructors will no longer receive free access to JetBrains IDEs through the bootcamp program after October 1, 2026, though existing instructor licenses remain active until expiration.
Bootcamps that apply and are approved before October 1, 2026 can receive a final pack of student coupons, valid for up to six months.
Existing student coupons already issued remain valid until their expiration dates.
The Graduation Discount for students remains available until April 1, 2027.

ALTERNATIVES AND CONTINUED ACCESS TO JETBRAINS TOOLS
JetBrains notes that it will continue to support education programs designed for different teaching and learning needs beyond the bootcamp option.
Educators can apply for the Teacher Pack for Individuals or for Classrooms, depending on their setting and needs.
For course publishers, the JetBrains Course Creators Program provides an avenue to offer JetBrains tools.
Students at accredited institutions can apply for the Student Pack, which includes free IDE access and related benefits.
